Kootenay Learning Campus

A steel post centered supported steel canopy captures the City of Fernie’s sidewalk traffic with the renovated building intended to serve as a true community learning development center for all within the city. An unnoticeable 1950’s brick school administration building has its interior stripped back to its mundane structural elements, exposed wood joists ceiling and exposed concrete block walls creating a fluid decor for a collection of formal and casual meeting spaces.
